Brian Bouwer is the Co-Founder of Now Base Metals and a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in metal trading, mining, exploration, and mineral processing across Southern Africa. As the CEO of Now Import & Export Zambia, he has led major projects in strategic mineral acquisition, logistics, compliance, and international trade. With a deep understanding of the African mining sector, Brian plays a key role in driving operations, project development, and investment growth for Now Base Metals. 

John Cook is the Co-Founder of Now Base Metals and Managing Partner of Cook & Company Capital Partners, bringing over 30 years of expertise in investment banking, U.S. capital markets, structured finance, private equity, and global commercial banking. A veteran Wall Street banker, he has held key roles as a financial advisor, investment banker, and portfolio fund manager, driving strategic investments in domestic and international markets. With a career spanning hedge funds, private family offices, and multi-billion-dollar asset management, John’s leadership and measured decision-making are instrumental in positioning Now Base Metals as a leading force in strategic mineral investment and development.

Ms. Joy Mabani serves as the Company Secretary of Now Base Metals, bringing extensive experience in corporate governance, project management, and administration. With a strong background in structuring and overseeing mining and investment projects, she ensures regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic coordination within the company. Her expertise in stakeholder management and corporate administration plays a vital role in supporting Now Base Metals’ growth and organizational integrity.

Miracle Chunga is a results-driven legal practitioner with over five years of experience in corporate advisory, commercial transactions, mining law, and ICT & data protection law. Known for his strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, he has positioned himself as a trusted advisor to corporate executives and industry leaders. Holding an LLB and specialized postgraduate qualifications in Data Protection and Security (GDPR), Miracle also has advanced training in Teaching Methodology, Legal Drafting, Negotiation, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty. His expertise extends to Staff Management, Women’s Inclusion, the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, Secured Transactions, and ADR for Lawyers. As a certified Data Protection Officer (DPO), he ensures businesses remain compliant with evolving data privacy regulations.
